shifting shadows

Prayer: Father, I thank You that although there are many things in my life that change, I know that Your love for me never changes. I thank You for the gift of life, family, and friends. You have blessed me with all that I need for a life of victory and abundance. Thank You for perfecting all that concerns me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

It was great to see the entire worship team of Cindy, Israel, Steve & Da’dra together again. As usual, they sounded great! I really enjoyed the new song, “Love So Amazing”. It was beautifully sung and the lyrics touching. God’s love for us really is amazing, it’s the kind of love that we don’t have to do anything to receive. As it says in the song, that love is “strong and true, rich and pure, and complete”. To hear the worship team sing this awesome song head over to Faith Based Blog.

After The Music Stops

1. Holy Hip-Hop!-Maryland radio station becomes a center for Christian rap. I think Christian Rap Music is about to become very popular. My son just purchased Lecrae’s After the Music Stops CD and it has a good sound to it. The beats and rhymes are just as good, if not better than mainstream rap.

I don’t think I’ll be listening to an entire rap CD, but I am sure that there are plenty of young people that will. It’s great that there is an alternative for parents that don’t like the bad messages and language in secular rap music. Stay tuned to 1800Gospel for more information on some great Gospel Rap CD’s.

3. Israel Houghton Shares His Testimony-Be on the lookout for his new album, A Deeper Level, which will be available on September 4, 2007. The CD features  Jonny Lang, T-Bone, Darlene Zschech and Chris Tomlin.

In the video below you can watch a bit of Israel’s testimony that he shared at Lakewood. He talks about how he got started in praise and worship. The bit about Sister Sandpaper is hilarious! Click on the arrow button to watch. Thanks again, Greg!
