Follow up to Fab Five

 

Marvin Sapp’s album entitled Thirsty is now in the #1 spot on the Billboard charts! It replaces Bishop Noel Jones Welcome To The City, which was in the #1 spot for the past two weeks.

Marvin is a multiple Stellar Award-winner and Grammy-nominee and has one of the most recognizable voices in gospel music. Sapp declared himself, “not a singer who can preach, but rather a preacher who just happens to sing.”  This CD was recorded live before a capacity crowd with producers Aaron Lindsey, Myron Butler, his choir Levi, and New Breed.

Gospel music is shaking up Billboard! The Clark Sisters, Live One Last Time has been on the charts for the past 13 weeks, WOW Gospel 2007 has been on for the past 23 weeks, and J. Moss has been burning up the charts for the past 14 weeks. Juanita Bynum’s, A Piece Of My Passion, has been on for an impressive 78 weeks. This tells me that these are some great albums and people are enjoying them.
