Steve and Da’dra were missed this week, but Cindy and Israel held it down. The theme of the night seemed to be God’s amazing love. The audience really enjoyed Israel’s classic “Friend of God”. It is truly amazing that God’s love for us enables us to be able to call him our Saviour and also a friend. As part of the chorus in “Your Love” says, God’s love for us can’t be measured and it’s ever enduring.

“Lord I Believe in You” was sung beautifully by Lakewood’s own Jemine Leigh. Visit my fellow Lakewooder, Greg, to have a listen.

THE MESSAGE:
Scripture Reference: Deuteronomy 8:18, Deuteronomy 1:11, Ruth 2:16, Psalm 37:4
Subject: God Has Already Released Good Things In Your Future

Quick Notes From The Sermon:
This week Pastor Joel spoke on the blessings that God has stored up for us. He said that God has great things already arranged for us all. We may not be able to see them, but if we stay in faith and do our best we will walk into the blessings that God has in store for us. In our future God has already released favor and promotion. We don’t have to worry because God has already dropped good things in our lives just like Boaz did for Ruth.

God has made each of us to be the head, and not the tail. He is a progressive God and He wants to take us to places we’ve never dreamed of. Don’t be complacent and so easily satisfied. Get a bigger vision for your life. God wants to amaze us with His goodness and take us to another level. One touch of God’s favor will change your entire life. He wants to bless us a thousand times more than we are (Deut. 1:11). If He didn’t have good things stored up for us we wouldn’t still be here.

Pastor Joel said that we should be grateful to our parents and grandparents that made us go to church. They were sowing seeds for favor in our lives. When you honor God with your life it not only affects you directly, but your children, grandchildren and other family members. We are blessed to be a blessing. No matter what level you are in life, you can help someone else.

THE ATMOSPHERE:
Everyone’s abuzz about Hillsong United coming to Lakewood on November 11th. The last time they came it was a madhouse. This event will be ticketed to avoid the same fate. Tickets are available here.
