BET’s Sunday Best-Seven Still Standing!

If you’re not watching Sunday Best, take the time right now to set your DVR for Tuesday night’s performance. The competition is heating up, and the talent is simply awesome! The audience was pumped, Kirk Franklin was a great host, the contestants bought their “A” game, and the judges, BeBe Winans and Mary Mary, were on point with their remarks.
Shari-sung Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Sing A Song” and she was wonderful! She has a strong voice and always seems to have a great time. The judges loved her. She kind of reminds me of Tamela Mann.
Crystal-another strong singer. Crystal performed Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” and she put a nice Christian touch on it. I like her because she has a distinct style that shines through clearly.
Trevon-sung “That’s the Way God Planned It” and did a good job. Can’t remember who sings this song. If anyone knows post a note in the comments.
Emily-performed Lionel Richie’s, “Jesus is Love”. She is a strong performer that didn’t get the usual accolades from the judges, but still a strong performance.
Jermaine-the cool guy from Atlanta sung Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Keep Your Head to the Sky”, and the judges and audience loved him.
Tasha-did a great job with Vanessa Bell Armstrong’s, “You Bring Out The Best in Me”.
Janice-was a lot stronger this week with “Marvin Gaye’s Mercy, Mercy, Me”.
Kirk, in Ryan Seacrest American Idol style, shocked and surprised everyone with the news that all seven contestants would survive to stay another show. The show ended with a great performance by BeBe Winans, Mary Mary and the contestants. Tye Tribbett will be on the show Tuesday, so be sure to tune in!
