1. After a 10-week run, the Sunday Best winner for 2007 is Crystal Aikin!! The 33-year old former emergency room nurse took the prize in the live finale against 46-year-old Shari Addison. Over 1 million viewers voted in the first ever gospel music competition. I enjoyed the show from start to finish!
Crystal and Shari are both winners in my opinion. They never had an off night! Every time they performed they were at their best. There are a lot of songs they sung that I enjoyed. Crystal’s version of “Even Me”, “Center of My Joy”, and “Shackles” were awesome. Shari’s “You Bought The Sunshine”, “Somebody Ought to Testify”, and “Ain’t No Need To Worry” were all favorites.
