1. The 39th GMA Dove Awards were held April 23rd in Nashville, TN. Gospel music group Trin-i-tee 5:7 won for Urban Album of the Year and for Urban Recorded Song of the Year for “Listen”.
Israel and New Breed won awards for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for “Say So”, and Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year for A Deeper Level. 4. The Dorothy Norwood Scholarship Foundation is having their 2008 Scholarship Benefit Banquet on Friday, May 30, 2008 in College Park, Georgia. A big highlight of this event will be a reunion of the world-famous Caravans – Dorothy Norwood, Albertina Walker, Shirley Caesar, Inez Andrews and Delores Washington.
