Marvin Sapp Makes an Impact at 2008 BET Awards
Congrats to Marvin Sapp for winning the Best Gospel Artist award on the 2008 BET Awards last night! The performance was a great one. "Never Would Have Made It" is breaking all sorts of records, and is quickly becoming one of those songs that will be long remembered.
It touches everyone because as you hear the words you instantly start to replay moments in your life that you know that only God could have helped you through. I read comments all the time about the impact of this song on peoples lives. Gospel music reaches deep into the heart because in its purest form it is based on the Word of God and His unconditional love for us. What did you think about the performance? What is your "Never Would Have Made It" moment?
The pictures of African-American pioneers playing on the screen throughout the performance was a nice touch. I liked that it ended with this great pic of Barack & Michelle Obama.

Take A Break From High Gas Prices with Christian Comedian Akintunde
1. The entire country is paying too much for gas! Take a break from the stress and go to the "Gas Too High Comedy Tour". Christian Comedian Akintunde has joined with several other Christian comedians to launch a tour that will be priced according to the gas prices in each individual market. Visit here to check for tour dates for your city.
I just paid $3.96 for gas here in Houston. I never really paid much attention to gas prices before the increase, but I’m certainly paying attention now. I have one of those gas guzzlers so it’s certainly making a dent in our budget. How much is gas in your city?
2. Just in case anyone is interested, the Weeks-Bynum marriage is officially over.
Bynum said she doesn’t have time to waste on moping. She said she has been hired as a regular adviser on "Divorce Court," and two weeks ago, was permanently added to the cast of "Lincoln Heights," an ABC Family network series. She still continues her ministry.
Weeks said he will focus on building his church and "healing" his broken heart.~Source
