Rev. Timothy Wright Still in Critical Condition, Homegoing Service for Betty Wright and D.J. Wright held in Brooklyn
"My mom lived what I call a rapture ready life .That means
that at any minute, at any moment when God came, it was
alright with her because she was prepared."-Daniel Wright
WCBSTV.com has the video report on the funerals of Betty Wright and her grandson DJ, which was held today in Brooklyn at Washington Temple Church of God in Christ. According to reports, the service was so full that the crowd had to gather on the sidewalk outside of the church.
The Wright’s five sons-Danny, David, Derrick, Dwayne and Donny-told the audience about their mom’s incredible faith. "We have to celebrate her life," Donny Wright said. "She didn’t live a life of being sorry. She lived a life of praising God."
The Wright’s grandson, 14-year old D.J., had just graduated from the eighth grade at Roosevelt Middle School. The road trip with his grandparents - his first time away from his parents - was a gift because of his good grades. Daniel Wright, the father of D.J. said, "I wish I could say what I want to say clean, but it hurts like H-E-double-L, it hurts."
The Wrights were returning from a religious convention in Detroit when their car was hit head-on by a car driving the wrong way on Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania. The wrong-way driver also died. Rev. Wright is in critical condition in a Pennsylvania hospital on a respirator.
Please continue to pray for the full recovery of Rev. Timothy Wright and for comfort and strength for his family.

Aaron is the Next Food Network Star!
“I started doubting myself-a lot. But I made it, I’m here, and I’m a star!-Aaron McCargo
Aaron McCargo, Jr. wowed everyone with his final challenge which was a demo of his television show, “Big Daddy’s Kitchen”. When he began his demo he said, “I’m gonna make you want what I got”.
He cooked Jerk Rib-Eye with Honey Glazed Plaintains and Sauteed Collard Greens. He was very comfortable in front of the camera and had everyone laughing. After he finished up his dish he joked, “If you don’t think that this looks good you need to get yo eyes checked!” The dish did look yummy! I can’t wait to get the recipe and try it out.
Congrats to Aaron on winning, and I also applaud Lisa and Adam because they wanted the title just as badly and they did a wonderful job on their television demo and throughout the competition.
Visit Food Network to see the video of Aaron’s winning moment. Aaron’s new show “Big Daddy’s House” will air Sundays at 1:30pm/12:30c.
Big & Bold, Baby!
Congrats Aaron!!
