CeCe Winans To Be Inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame
Gospel music artist CeCe Winans To Be Inducted in the Music City Walk of Fame
Congrats to one of my favorite gospel music singers, CeCe Winans, on being the newest inductee to the Music City Walk of Fame.
The induction ceremony will be this Sunday, April 19th in Nashville. It will certainly be bittersweet for CeCe because she just buried her father, Pop Winans, on April 14th. The ceremony will be one day before he would have turned 75.
Created in the fall of 2006 and located on Nashville’s Music Mile, the Music City Walk of Fame is an official project of Music City, Inc., the charitable foundation of the NCVB. Inductees are nominated by the public in one of four categories – Artist, Musician, Songwriter, and Producer/Music Industry Executive – and selected by an anonymous committee. Source
Other inductees include Cowboy Jack Clement, Mike Curb, Marty Stuart and Josh Turner. Also recognized will be Dr. Richard H. Boyd, whose publishing company has greatly influenced Christian and Gospel music.
