Gospel Music’s ‘Best Church Choir In America’ One-Hour Documentary on BET

How Sweet the Sound, a documentary that tells the story of talented gospel music choirs from coast to coast competing in Verizon Wireless’ How Sweet the Sound, will air Sunday, May 31, at 11:00 am ET on BET. The show features choir members sharing how they provided support and inspiration for each other and how love, faith, commitment and determination allowed them to overcome the hurdles in their lives.

How Sweet The Sound is a series of regional competitions in major U.S. cities whose goal is to find the  “Best Church Choir in America”.  The competition culminates in a roof-raising, powerhouse grand finale competition in Atlanta. The gospel music choirs compete for best choir title and the chance to win up to $50,000 in cash and prizes.  The documentary is directed by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky.
