North Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild To Hold Convention

The North Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild of the Gospel Music Workshop of America will bring their 11th Annual Convention to the Greenville Convention Center on May 27th – 30th, 2009.

The Convention will begin on Wednesday night, May 27, with The Annual Prestige Awards Banquet with seating beginning at 6:00 p.m. honoring gospel music artists, ministries, radio announcers and print media from across North Carolina, South Carolina and Southern Virginia. The Banquet will be hosted by Regina Belle and Al “The Bishop” Hobbs, President of the National Gospel Announcers Guild.

Industry workshops will be held during the day, which will enlighten, empower and educate radio announcers, gospel music artists and anyone interested in the radio and music industry. Music showcases will be held on Thursday and Friday nights. Some of the national recording artists performing are Tonex, Dorothy Norwood, Darrell McFadden & The Disciples, Minister Earl Bynum, Bishop Neal Robeson, Gerald Hinton, Shonda English, Nu Tradition and Minister Calvin Suggs.
