Fantasia is a Gospel Music Artist at Heart
Fantasia Bought Down the House at the Chicago Gospel Music Festival
Fantasia’s star showed brightly at the 25th Annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival at Millennium Park on the weekend of June 6th & 7th. She is billed as a R&B singer but I think she is really a gospel music singer at heart. In fact, the 24-year old singer grew up in the church and has said that, “church is in me….I’m doing what I was raised up on. Even doing R&B, I’m doing gospel.”
Her grandmother was a church pastor and her mother, Diane Barrino, is an evangelist. I love the video below of her singing, “He’s Done Enough” with her mother at the festival. According to the Chicago Defender, Fantasia is in the studio now working on her new album which will include a gospel song. After that album is out she has plans to put out a new gospel music album.
