Gospel Music Artist PJ Morton On CNN Discussing New Book
I didn’t get a chance to see PJ Morton on CNN, but I’m glad he put up a video of it. I enjoyed the interview. I think it will give us all something to think about. It’s great that he talked about romantic songs that are pleasing to God. We can be honest and say that most gospel songs are not conducive to romance. lol
PJ Morton is a Grammy, Stellar and Dove award winning writer and producer that has worked with a variety of secular and gospel artists. I remember him best for the gospel song “Let Go, Let God” that was written for DeWayne Woods.
Relationships honored by God should always include romance. When I am affectionately holding my wife, I don’t put on, “Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross”. No! Give me some sweet, romantic love songs without the guilt.-Bishop Paul S. Morton

Thank you brother Morton for bringing love songs to the church. I have been singing them for as long as I know. Stevie Wonder was my child hood favorite. Nancy Wilson is the one who I mentor after. Her style…God is good and God is love. You must listen to your own heart because everyone cannot see or understand the vision God has placed in your heart because it was meant for you to reveal to the world when Gods time was right. In the process….we must go through the rejection opposition and unbelief of others….When we get to the place when all others do not matter but what God has said…then He releases your gift to the world because you are ready….God bless and I look forward to more from you….

It’s funny how Tye was against PJ singing love songs, yet we have not heard any rumors about PJ cheating on his wife or that his marriage is failing as in Tye’s case. Christians need to stop being fake and acting like they were made to be void of romantic feelings. This is why Christian marriages have failed as much as marriages outside of the Christian faith. I say, more power to you, PJ! Keep the love songs coming.
