Gospel Music News: Rizen, Marvin Sapp, Mary Mary, Sandi Patty
The gospel music news is way late this week. No excuse for that, but here goes………
The ladies of RiZen will be releasing their new gospel music album, Free, on October 27th. The sisters, Adriann & Aundrea Lewis, are known for traditional and contemporary gospel music with a touch of rock & R&B. Rizen began as a group of eight, but has since whittled down to just the two sisters. I’m looking forward to the new CD & I’m liking the CD cover. Very nice.

I hope you were able to log in for Marvin Sapp’s recording of his live CD/DVD on this past Friday night. It was awesome! He ended the recording with an off the chart rendition of “Never Would Have Made It”, but the gospel song “He Saw the Best in Me” really got my attention. The song is a simple one, but very powerful.
A lot of gospel music fans tuned in which was great to see. I hope more gospel artists do this in the future. According to Verity Records the new CD/DVD, “Here I Am” will be released on February 8, 2010. I can’t wait!

Jawn Murray of BV Buzz is reporting that Tina Campbell of Mary Mary (the red mary) gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Tuesday of this week. In more great new for the sisters, the other Mary is three months pregnant! How cool is that? It’s raining babies!!

One of my favorite gospel music singers, Sandi Patty, is teaming up with Feed The Children to deliver food to the Latino Community Development Agency in Oklahoma City. Patty recently recorded a music show for Feed The Children that will be aired during the holiday season.
