Claude McKnight of Take 6 Sets The Record Straight
Claude McKnight of Take 6 Addresses Rumors & Talks About Changing His Life

Da Gospel Truth has posted an exclusive with Claude McKnight of the Grammy-winning Christian vocal jazz group Take 6 in which he sets the record straight on rumors that have been circulating for the past eight months.
In the interview Claude addresses things that have been said about him concerning a former girlfriend and borrowing money from her. He admits to borrowing $34,000 (which he said he paid back), having a sexual addiction, and some other stuff. He said that gospel music artist Israel Houghton is helping him get back on track and the 60-day online course, The Way of Purity, has pointed him in the right direction.
But when I read the following statement it took me by surprise:
I’ve already heard the jokes and been scoffed at because it’s an online course. This course has pointed me in the right direction of things I should be doing like reading my Bible, learning new habits and getting rid of triggers. But, it’s not the end all to everything I’m doing to get better. I had never read my Bible before in my life until I started this course.
What? Did he really say that??? Take 6 has been around since 1980 singing gospel songs, winning Grammy awards, and ministering and he’s never read the Bible? How does that happen?? SMH
You can read the rest of the article at Da Gospel Truth. I kinda got sidetracked after that statement. I’m sure there’s more interesting stuff to read in the article.
As I always say at least he’s being honest and moving on to a better life. To me that’s the important thing. Being honest with yourself and God.

Wow. This is going to sound weird, but a zillion years ago I saw Take 6 (my absolute favorite singing group) in a live performance here in SoCal, and it just seemed like that one member of the band, McKnight, had a vibe when he sang that had me saying to myself, “That dude’s a player.” I didn’t get any specific impressions about the personal character of any of the other singers, just him. (And no, it was not my hormones talking; there are other members of the group who are more attractive than him.)
We all believe in the Holy Spirit giving us discernment at times, but it weirds me out that an impression I got on a total stranger, from a distance, turned out to be right on target after all these years.
And the part about him never having read the Bible is really a trip. How many folks do we have all around us that are totally a part of our church communities and even working in ministries, who have never read the Bible?
Here is my favourite…..of his interview
“The devil wanted people to see this 10-time Grammy award winner Christian artist out there and make a fool of me.”
LOL, so ok, the Devil made him do it huh? Stuuuuuupid…. wake up will ya!!
From what I have been following there was waaaaay more than one women involved – many were scammed into investing into project Burnlounge apparently and into endangering their health by being involved with Mr. Mcknight as he was doing everything on purpose… stringing along some women anywhere from 2- 8 years – all at the same time while he was telling and convincing them they were the only ones.
Sounds like a couple of them really made him really accountable, good for them… stop blaming the devil. Maybe those women have done society a big favor and maybe – just maybe you learned a little respect for women finally…. and this might not repeat 5 yrs from now… guess it can’t now can it, since you can no longer hide behind it.
Please let it be known that the Da Gospel Truth did not interview me for this article. There are many false assumptions based on a blog I wrote in a final attempt to recover monies (owed for 2+yrs) in a breach of contract lawsuit against Mr. Claude McKnight of Take 6 (reposted on myspace page). It is a very one sided article since Da Gospel Truth did not discuss my position with me. If the full truth is of interest, I will share my experience now that the legal matter is resolved and I can speak freely. Da Gospel Truth’s article, provoking this interview, “Nothing like a Woman Scorned”, should read, “Nothing like a Woman Conned”.
Conned:
1. to cheat somebody, usually out of money or property, by first convincing the victim of something that is untrue.
2. To tell somebody something untrue or misleading
3. To get somebody to agree to something
A trick or dishonest business ploy that takes advantage of somebody’s trust, such as telling lies in order to get money or property unfairly.
In this case, the entire relationship was fabricated….another one of Mr. Claude McKnight’s extensive lies
