Gospel Music Duo Mary Mary Wins American Music Award
Congrats to the ladies of Mary Mary for winning an American Music Award for Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist. They were up against Jeremy Camp and Brandon Heath.
The sisters of Mary Mary are having a great year! Their gospel songs “God In Me”, “Seattle”, and “Get Up” are all great songs, with “God In Me” in the top five of Billboard’s top Gospel Songs Chart.
Mary Mary’s award acceptance was not televised which was a bummer, because the show could have used some of the positive energy they would have brought. We watched some of it, but I’m glad we missed some of the performances according to what I’ve been reading.
I did catch Whitney Houston sing “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength”. She was looking good and gave a solid performance. I didn’t see J-Lo take a tumble, but one of my kiddies did–and he couldn’t stop talking about. I saw it today on youtube and the fall looked painful. But she got up with the quickness and kept it moving.
This is not related to the awards, but did you guys see Chicago Bears Devin Hester’s “wardrobe malfunction”? My hubby was watching the game and happened to see it. I’m sorry, but it was funny………
