Gospel Music Artist Shirley Caesar On Her Passion For Gospel Music + Her Upcoming Performance in Africa
Patience Bambalele of the Sowetan, conducted an interesting interview with gospel music artist Shirley Caesar in which she talks about her passion for gospel music, the faithfulness God has shown her, and her excitement about her upcoming CD, City Called Heaven. She said her secret to success has been love and passion for gospel music and the strong faith and respect she has for God.
With many gospel musicians failing to practice what they preach, Caesar feels it is important to live what you sing.
“I know we all make money by selling music but the question should be: why are we singing gospel? For me it is important to live what I sing because I have so much to say about God.”
Shirley Caesar’s tour starts at Durban’s International Convention Centre on November 27, 2009, the following day she goes to Nelspruit Rugby Stadium in Mpumalanga, and the tour ends on November 29th at the Dome in Jo’burg.
The new gospel music CD, City Called Heaven, will be released on November 24th.
