The Tenth Anniversary of Celebration of Gospel Looks to Be A Great One
Celebration of Gospel To Include Performances by Gospel Music Artists And Mainstream Artists
Steve Harvey Back As Host
BET will celebrate the tenth anniversary of its annual mega-hit special Celebration of Gospel, at the famed Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 12.
There will be performances by gospel music artists and mainstream artists, a 24-piece orchestra led by world-renowned musical director Ray Chew, and funny man Steve Harvey will be back at his hosting duties.
Celebration of Gospel will air on BET on Sunday, January 10, 2010.
Taking to the stage will be Fantasia and her mother Diane Barrino Barber, Anthony Hamilton and his wife Tarsha Hamilton, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond, Deborah Cox, Kelly Price, Tamia and Sherri Shepherd, along with gospel music superstars Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Marvin Sapp, James Fortune & FIYA, Tye Tribbett & Greater Anointing, Dr. Bobby Jones and the Nashville Super Choir, SUNDAY BEST winner Y’Anna Crawley, The Rance Allen Group, and P.S.A.L.M. Choir from the City Of Refuge.
Sounds like this is going to be a great show. Lots of great gospel music artists are on deck. I’m always happy to see The Rance Allen Group and I’m sure lots of folks will be glad to see Sunday Best winner Y’Anna Crawley. I’m looking forward to hearing Anthony Hamilton. I absolutely love his voice.
