The end of the year is shaping up fabulously. It has been a great year for all genres of gospel music. There have been a lot of great new releases so far, and next year appears to hold even more great music. This weeks fab five is my opinion of five great new gospel music releases to look forward to.

1. DeWayne Woods-Living On The Top-His gospel song “Let Go, Let God” was a certified hit, and the first single from his upcoming CD  is a winner too. The single, “Living on The Top”, will be on the album of the same name and it will be available early 2010. Take a listen to the gospel song-I really like the energy and message of the song.

3. James Fortune-Encore-If you missed the live recording be sure to pre-order your copy of the new CD through Amazon. Release date for the highly anticipated gospel music CD is January 26, 2010.

4. Karen Clark Sheard-All In One-The first gospel song from the new CD is “Prayed Up”, and it’s already gaining in popularity. The new gospel CD from KCS will be available for purchase April 2010.

5. Wess Morgan- Under An Open Heaven-When I heard the gospel song “I Choose To Worship” by Wess Morgan it immediately got my attention. It’s a great song that says that no matter what’s going on in life the act of worship gets first priority. Morgan’s story is a remarkable one of God’s love and grace. His music is confirmation of that. You can purchase the CD at Wess’s website when it releases in February 2010.

I hope you enjoyed the fab five. This list could certainly be longer because there is a lot of great new gospel music out there. I hope gospel music artists realize how their music and great gospel songs encourage people from all walks of life. I’m looking forward to an awesome new year filled with more great gospel music!
