Billboard is predicting that Here I Am will put up some top numbers. I’m talking selling as many as 70,000 copies by week’s end on Sunday, March 21st, and maybe being in the top five of the Billboard 200.
The runaway success of the gospel song “Never Would Have Made It” from the Thirsty album has certainly introduced him to a brand new audience which is fueling the success of this new album. Of course, the gospel song “The Best in Me” has a lot to do with it too.
The last time a gospel music album visited the top 10 of the Billboard 200 was when Mary Mary’s The Sound debuted at No. 7 in November of 2008 with 37,000 copies.
