I really like “The Name Of Jesus” by Vonnie Lopez! I’m looking forward to hearing more from her.
Vonnie, who has been a member of The Kurt Carr Singers since 2003, has decided to launch her solo career with the release of her first single on the Riverphlo Entertainment label. It’s interesting to note that Vonnie was born tone-deaf. She came from a singing family, but was not gifted in that area until she prayed to God to give her a voice. “God give me a voice to sing and I promise that for the rest of my days I will sing to you and I will sing for you,” she said to God.
Obviously, God has blessed her in abundance! She has shared the stage with artists such as Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp, J. Moss and the late Walter Hawkins. She’s also a songwriter whose songs have been recorded by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and Nor-Cal Mass Choir.

“People call me a worship leader, but really I am just a worshipper – and my assignment is to lead the people into God’s presence. I know that when we enter the presence of God anything and everything is possible. Healing takes place. Miracles unfold. Deliverance happens. All in His presence. I just want to take the people to Jesus and I know that in His presence is everything they need.”-Vonnie Lopez
Vonnie is in full-time ministry with her husband, Pastor Aaron Lopez at Eastwood Pentecostal Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana. You can connect with her on Twitter at @VonnieLopez.
