“Victor’s Crown” by Darlene Zschech, Israel Houghton & Kari Jobe is a beautiful worship song! Darlene Zschech, who is one of my favorites, is the writer of favorites such as “Shout To The Lord” and ”Worthy Is The Lamb.” She was the worship pastor of Australia’s Hillsong Church for over 10 years and is now currently pastoring Hope Unlimited Church with her husband in Australia.

You can get ”Victor’s Crown” now on Amazon or iTunes. Revealing Jesus, which is Darlene’s first worship recording in the United States, was produced by Israel Houghton at the Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to Israel, Darlene is joined by friends Michael W. Smith and Kari Jobe as co-writers and performers on the project.

Darlene has paved the way for so many people, including myself. As much as we marvel at ‘Shout To The Lord’ and all those Hillsong songs, I feel like the best has been left for now! There has never been a greater time to hear the heart of Darlene…From the time we started writing the songs, to the moment we finished in Birmingham and since, I feel that we are being allowed to handle something very precious to the heart of God.-Israel Houghton

I need the Word of God. I need Church family… These are not just pretty poems put to pretty music. These are songs that teach my soul to sing. One of the ways I take heart is that I worship. It’s very powerful when you feel the joy of the Lord beside you, so incredibly powerful.-Darlene Zschech

Lyrics to Victor’s Crown by Darlene Zschech, Israel Houghton & Kari Jobe

Written by: Darlene Zschech, Israel Houghton, Kari Jobe

You are always fighting for us
Heaven’s angels all around
My delight is found in knowing
That You wear the Victor’s crown
You’re my help and my defender
You’re my Saviour and my friend
By Your grace I live and breathe
To worship You

At the mention of Your greatness
In Your Name I will bow down
In Your presence fear is silent
For You wear the Victor’s crown
Let Your glory fill this temple
Let Your power overflow
By Your grace I live and breathe
To worship You

Hallelujah
You have overcome
You have overcome
Hallelujah
Jesus You have overcome the world

You are ever interceding
As the lost become the found
You can never be defeated
For You wear the Victor’s crown
You are Jesus the Messiah
You’re the Hope of all the world
By Your grace I live and breathe
To worship You

Every high thing must come down
Every stronghold shall be broken
You wear the Victor’s crown
You overcome
You overcome

At the cross the work was finished
You were buried in the ground
But the grave could not contain You
For You wear the Victor’s crown
