“He said I haven’t forgotten you. I haven’t forgotten your prayers. I haven’t forgotten your commitment to Me. I haven’t forgotten your faithfulness to what I’ve asked you to do and be. I’m going to reward you.”-Melinda Watts on what God told her about following her dreams

Melinda Watts-’Tis So Sweet

Melinda Watts wowed the audience and the judges with her beautiful and sincere performances. I enjoyed the entire show! All the contestants were on fire and the judges had a tough time picking the winner.

Some highlights for me:
Melinda’s interpretation of “You Are Good”. She did a great job with making the song her own. I hear this a lot at church and it was great to hear it sung in a different way.

John McKoy’s heartfelt rendition of “Running Back To You”, which he ended on his knees. I really liked him singing Fred Hammond’s “Jesus Be A Fence” also.

Kymm Lowery’s energetic performance of Martha Munizzi’s “Glorious”. It was funny when Big Jim Wright decided to tease his fellow judge, Martha Munizzi, by saying, “You know I never really like that song.” Everyone got a big chuckle out of that.

All in all it was a great show and I look forward to the next one. Great job everyone! Visit Gospel Music Channel for more information.
