2009 International Gospel Music Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum® Announces its 2009 Inductees
The 2009 inductees to the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum® are Bishop T.D. Jakes, Bill (The Mailman) Martin, Willie Mae Ford Smith, Myrna Summers, Wyatt T. Walker, and BeBe Winans. The induction and awards celebration will be held at the Max M. Fisher Music Center on Saturday, October 31 in Detroit. The program will be preceded by a Red Carpet Extravaganza with live entertainment and photo opportunities with gospel music greats. The Master of Ceremony will be Gospel Harpist Jeff Majors from TV One.
“For over a decade, we have successfully achieved our goal — the furtherance of gospel music worldwide,” said founder David Gough. “The awards event is our annual fund raising centerpiece, but our work to celebrate the contributions of influential individuals and groups, and to increase awareness of gospel music, takes place year-round.”

Gospel Music’s BeBe Winans To Be Inducted into International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum

Congrats to BeBe Winans on being nominated as a 2009 inductee to the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Detroit. The 2009 inductees are nominated from around the world and selected by the Music Hall’s board. Other 2009 nominees are Bishop T.D. Jakes, Willie Mae Ford Smith, Myrna Summers, and Wyatt T. Walker.
This year’s awards ceremony will be on Saturday, October 31st at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit.
