Wanna learn how to write gospel songs? Five easy steps will get you there……
Learn To Write Gospel Songs
If you have dreams of being a gospel song writer ehow wants to show you how to get there step-by-step.
I’m not so sure it’s quite as easy as they make it out to be, but it’s a great start. Publishers of songs get paid quite handsomely.
Some gospel songs are very simple songs and some of the gospel hits choruses have been no longer that 3 word lines. Gospel music can be simple to write but there are some techniques to be considered when you are writing it.
Step 1-Walk it. It is hard writing from the heart if the walk is not aligning with God’s word.
Step 2- Make sure you are writing from the heart. Be honest with your feelings.
Step 3- Get fired up! Praying before you write is known to get your mind, body and spirit in a creative mode and more receptive to hear from God. Reflect on some things God brought you through.
Step 4-Start writing. Decide who you are talking to. There are two kinds of gospel songs. Songs that praise God directly, and songs that praise God indirectly.
Step 5-Refer to the bible frequently. There is poems in there that can help you communicate certain feelings that you have inside.
Visit e-how to get more in depth information on each of the steps. The advice is pretty good if you aspire to be a serious writer of gospel songs.

Gospel Songs on The Billboard Charts
The top ten gospel songs on Billboard’s charts this week are:
1. BeBe & CeCe Winans-Close To You
2. James Fortune & FIYA-I Wouldn’t Know You
3. Fred Hammond f/John P. Kee-They That Wait
4. Mary Mary & KiKi Sheard-God In Me
5. Smokie Norful-Justified
6. Marvin Sapp-Praise Him In Advance
7. J Moss-Restored
8. Hezekiah Walker & LFC f/Marvin Sapp & DJ Rogers-God Favored Me
9. Donnie McClurkin f/Karen Clark Sheard-Wait On The Lord
10. Vickie Winans F/Tim Bowman Jr.-How I Got Over
I love all these gospel songs! I see that James Fortune & FIYA’s ” I Wouldn’t Know You” has moved up to the number two position. It just might take over BeBe & CeCe’s “Close To You” for position number 1.
BeBe & CeCe also has the number 1 position on the Gospel Albums chart for their CD Still. I was wondering if BeBe’s current legal situation would have any bearing on the continued success of their new CD. Looks like it hasn’t made a difference at all.
