Gospel Rap with Bushwick Bill
Take a listen to Bushwick Bill’s “Testimony of Redemption” where he talks about his beginnings in Brooklyn, being ordained in ministry by age 18, to his time in Houston. Bushwick Bill was a member of the popular Houston rap group The Geto Boys that also included Scarface and Willie D. They had a very popular song titled “My Mind Is Playing Tricks on Me” that had everyone in Houston singing it–the clean version of course. The last I heard of Bushwick Bill he shot himself in the eye.
So it was good to hear his voice again on this video and to hear him rap that he is seeing clearly now because he’s walking with Christ.
I don’t normally listen to gospel rap unless I’m with my kiddies but that is starting to change. A lot of it is really good.
The new gospel rap CD by Bushwick Bill, My Testimony of Redemption, will be available for purchase on December 1, 2009 under G-S.P.O.T. Productionz.

Celebrate With Smokie Norful & Brian Courtney Wilson
Gospel Music Artists Smokie Norful & Brian Courtney Wilson In Concert in Houston

If you are in the Houston area next Friday you might want to check out Praise 92.1’s Celebration of Praise with Smokie Norful & Brian Courtney Wilson. It’s going to be at the Arena Theatre in Houston.
This should be a great concert because both of these guys have great songs out. One of my favorite gospel songs by Smokie Norful right now is “Justified” from Smokie Norful Live.
I heard the gospel song “Already Here” by Brian Courtney Wilson this morning on 92.1. I love this song! Great smooth vibe and insightful lyrics. It’s on his Just Love CD.
Anybody going to the concert? If you do, let me know how it was.
