Multiple Grammy, Stellar and Dove Award winner, Israel Houghton released his new Gospel music CD, Love God. Love People, on yesterday to widespread acclaim.

He is now set to make an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on September 8th.  He is scheduled to sit in with Rickey Minor and the Tonight Show Band.

The CD Love God. Love People features guest appearances by Gospel music artists Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond and Take 6’s Claude V. McKnight III, Mark Kibble and Joey Kibble.

The CD has made history as the first Christian iTunes LP. It’s three dollars more than the regular CD, but also includes Chord Charts, A huge Photo Gallery, Remix Room, Daily Encouragment Through The Word & much more. Another great aspect of the LP is the “Create A Cover” which allows the user to make their own Love God. Love People cover artwork which they can share on social networks.

Israel is also slated to appear on the nationally syndicated Tavis Smiley Show on September 2nd. Don’t forget to check out his interview with Yolanda Adams! To hear them singing Gospel songs together is epic.

“Love God. Love People. is a return to a simple, foundational Gospel command: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself,” says Israel.  “Virtually every song touches on this profound simplicity. It all comes down to ‘Love God, love people.’ Period.”
