Please pray: Marvin Sapp’s wife passes away
Gospel Music Artist Marvin Sapp Loses Wife to Cancer
Marvin Sapp lost his wife, MaLinda Sapp, this morning (September 9th) to cancer. Please pray for him, his children and his entire family during this difficult time. I recently read somewhere that Marvin and his wife had known each other since grade school and had been married for 15 years. They have young children so it makes it particularly hard.
This is a tough post to write and words are kind of failing me right now. I know the pain and devastation of losing someone so dear to you–whether it’s because of cancer or otherwise.
There is peace in knowing that there is no more suffering. Please pray for the family.

Song written by Stan Jones on Billboard’s Gospel song chart for 72 weeks

Stan Jones
The Gospel song “All I Need” which is on Brian Courtney Wilson’s debut album, Just Love, was written and produced by Stan Jones.
It is currently in the #6 spot in its 72nd consecutive week on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart. Incredibly, forty five of those weeks were in the Top 10.
I didn’t know that Stan Jones was such an accomplished producer and songwriter. Another one of his standout writing credits includes the powerful Gospel song “He Has His Hands on You” which appears on the Verity Records release Here I Am from Marvin Sapp.
Earlier this year Stan received his second Grammy nomination and in July received five Mississippi Music Awards. Other recent singles and Top 30 Gospel songs from Jones include Yolanda Adams’ “Hold On”, The Williams Brothers’ “Stand On His Word” feat. Kirk Franklin and Tim Rogers & The Fellas’ “Happy.”
When asked about the accomplishment Jones shares, “It’s always great to experience prosperity and I’m so grateful. With this song I’m most excited because it’s coming from a brand new artist. When you’re working with established artists their celebrity status can be used as an excuse as to why it did well. I think the Just Love project has brought me more excitement than any other album I’ve done thus far.”
