Anthony Evan’s heartache produced his most personal worship songs
Anthony Evans works through heartbreak in latest gospel music CD

In an article on Gospel Music Channel, gospel music artist Anthony Evans explains why his latest CD, Undisguised, is his most personal CD to date. He broke up with his fiancee after a six month engagement, and in a performance after the breakup he wasn’t able to perform. He told the audience that he just couldn’t do it. In the article he goes on to explain how his honesty caused him to be more connected to his worship.
Through that awkward moment of honesty came one of the most connected nights of worship. I told them my story and I sang songs anyway and it was a night of healing. So from this point on, no matter what’s happening and what’s going on, no matter how hard it is – and it’s hard at times – I’m just going to tell the truth to my audience, knowing that that is my job. I’m a Christian musician. It’s about people leaving [saying more than] ‘oh, that was cool.’ I want them to leave with something bigger.”
Gospel music CD, Undisguised, is the first project on the label owned by Evans and is now available for purchase.

Karen Clark Sheard: Stay Prayed Up!
New Gospel Music From Karen Clark Sheard
The new gospel song, “Prayed Up” by Karen Clark Sheard is really nice. She wrote it with her son J. Drew Sheard, and it’s the first single from the new album All In One (Karew Records). According to Gospel Pundit, the release date for the album will be April 2010.
I love the message of the song. We got to be prayed up with all that is going on in this world. That’s one thing I heard all the time when I was younger—stay prayed up because you never know when you might not be able to pray. Get in good standing with God and stay there.
I’m looking forward to the new CD! I know it’s going to be awesome. In the meantime, enjoy the new song and gospel Christmas music from The Clark Sisters.
