James Fortune
I’m a little late on this bit of news because when I first heard it for some reason it didn’t occur to me to blog about it. On Monday, October 12th gospel music artist James Fortune twittered that he and Isaac Carree (Men of Standard) were robbed at the Galleria in Houston. They had some of their belongings stolen but they are ok.
Please be careful, everyone, wherever you stay. I took my kiddies to the Galleria not too long ago to ice skate and although that part of town is very, very busy and congested I feel better there than in other parts of Houston. But the economy and the upcoming holiday season is taking a toll. Be safe and pray Psalm 91:11!

Just in case you’re interested in this tidbit: Bishop Week and Prophetess Christina Glenn have set their wedding date for October 17th. Visit the website for a video message about their upcoming wedding. Bishop Weeks says it’s going to be a “five star experience like none other………”

Kirk Franklin
According to Gospel Soundcheck, it looks like the Gospel Music Association fundraiser may have actually made a difference. The event which was dubbed “The Concert of the Decade” raised more than $350,000 and had over 10,000 online viewers. The fundraiser featured performance from gospel music artists Kirk Franklin, Martha Munizzi, the Fisk Jubilee Singers, Natalie Grant, Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns, MercyMe, and many more.
