Just Because……..The Best in Me most added in gospel radio
Gospel Song “The Best in Me” by Marvin Sapp Most Added in Gospel Music Radio
Marvin Sapp’s new gospel song “Best in Me” is becoming quite popular. In addition to being played a lot on gospel radio, it is #1 on Billboard’s Top Singles Chart, #1 at Amazon, and in the top 5 on iTunes. It seems that when he sung the song in tribute to Steve Harvey on Celebration of Gospel 2010 it really pushed the song up another level.
This morning Marcus D. Wiley of Yolanda Adams Morning Show put “The Best in Me” under the microscope. Funny, funny. I won’t try to repeat what he said because it just won’t be as funny, but try to remember to tune in to Under The Microscope every Thursday morning around 8:15. Marcus, do you have any of the microscope segments archived on the website?
You can purchase Marvin Sapp’s new gospel music CD, Here I Am, on March 16th at stores everywhere.

Comedian Steve Harvey adds host of Family Feud to repertoire
Celebration of Gospel Favorite Host to Join Family Feud

Celebration of Gospel’s favorite funnyman Steve Harvey has a new job. He will be taking over hosting duties on Family Feud for John O’Hurley when the new season starts next fall.
“With his talent, authenticity and innate ability to connect with audiences from all walks of life, Steve exemplifies the spirit and appeal of ‘Family Feud,’” said Fremantle Media North America chief Cecile Frot-Coutaz in making the announcement. “We’re thrilled to have him join our ‘family’ and look forward to him bringing his one-of-a-kind comedic style and personality to this beloved and legendary game show format.”
Well, I’m excited about this one. Family Feud is one of my favorite game shows. I think Steve will be a nice addition. Just hope his jokey jokes are all clean.
Steve Harvey was recently celebrated on BET’s Celebration of Gospel for being the one and only host on the popular gospel music show for 10 years. His tribute included the popular gospel song by Marvin Sapp entitled “He Saw the Best in Me”.

All Right Now BET!! Check Out The Gospel Song Lineup For Celebration of Gospel
Great Gospel Music Lineup For Celebration of Gospel Tenth Anniversary

Fantasia and Mom, Diane Barrino Barber, at 2009 Chicago Gospel Music Festival
I’ve been seeing the all white commercials for the tenth anniversary of Celebration of Gospel with Steve Harvey and wondered if it was going to be a good show. Well, looks like it’s going to be a great show! So set your DVR’s & mark your calendars. It airs Sunday, January 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT
Taped at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles and hosted once again by host and author Steve Harvey, the night included uplifting performances, powerful duets and soulful choirs. Aptly themed Ten Years, Faithfully Yours, in honor of the show’s 10th anniversary, Celebration of Gospel featured breathtaking performances and spoken word segments by both mainstream and gospel greats including Fantasia and her mother Diane Barrino Barber performing “He’s Done Enough”; Anthony Hamilton and his wife Tarsha Hamilton singing “Better”, and The Rance Allen Group performing a soulful rendition of “Something About the Name Jesus.”
Additionally, BET Sunday Best winner Y’Anna Crawley teamed up with Dr. Bobby Jones and the Nashville Super Choir for “The Lord Will Make a Way Somehow”; Kelly Price and Ledisi performed “How Great Thou Art”; Yolanda Adams, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Marvin Sapp, James Fortune & FIYA, Tye Tribbett & Greater Anointing, and The City of Refuge P.S.A.L.M.S. Choir all set the stage on fire with soul-stirring performances; and actresses Sherri Shepherd and Elise Neal lent their hearts with inspirational spoken words.
I’m looking forward to seeing Fantasia and her mom. The video of them singing gospel music hit “He’s Done Enough” is among the more popular ones on the blog. Who doesn’t love Rance Allen? He is a legend to me, and the gospel song ” “Something About the Name Jesus” is a favorite of mine.
All in all it looks like a stellar line-up. I’m looking forward to seeing “Gospel and R&B Music’s Brightest Stars”. Get ready for some great gospel song performances! Don’t forget to enter the Celebration of Gospel Contest where you could win $2500 for your church. You have until January 11th to enter.
