Pop Winans Recovering From Strokes & Heart Attack

According to The Detroit News, "Pop" Winans is recovering from two strokes, seizures, and a heart attack. Winans suffered a major stroke on Sept. 30th and another one on Nov. 3rd of which he was not expected to survive. In an exclusive interview Rev. Marvin Winans said that his dad "is a miracle in progress".
Before leaving for a previously scheduled trip to Suriname, South America, Marvin Winans recalls praying, leaning over his father, who was barely holding on in intensive care, and whispering these words in his ear: "Barack Obama is president, and be here when I get back."
Pop Winans is the patriarch of Gospel music groups The Winans and BeBe and CeCe Winans.
