Vickie Winans talks to Tramaine Hawkins in first interview since passing of Walter Hawkins
As reported in an earlier post, Vickie Winans is sitting in for Lonnie Hunter this week while he is on vacation. While at Praise 103.9 she had a phone interview with Tramaine Hawkins, the ex-wife of Walter Hawkins and the mother of his two children.
This was Tramaine’s first interview since the passing of Walter Hawkins on July 11th. It was great to hear her voice and to hear a report on how the family is doing.

Gospel music’s Vickie Winans talks fashion (and teeth!)
You can’t help but love Vickie Winans! She is so funny. She has been filling in for Lonnie Hunter, who hasn’t had a vacation for three years, at several gospel music radio stations this week.
I’ve enjoyed listening to her and her selection of gospel songs on Houston Praise 92.1. In one segment she was talking about shutting up some kids by giving them some dry government peanut butter. Or something like that…….it was funny when she told it. lol
